Even if your investment goes all the way to zero, you are guaranteed to get an income stream for the rest of your life. The SecureSource Stages NY benefit is an optional feature that can be added to your RiverSource variable annuity for an additional fee (the fee is charged annually on the greater of the contract anniversary value or the Benefit Base).

You can select the single life benefit, which covers you, or the joint life benefit, which covers you and your spouse, for 1.15%. The fee can increase but will never exceed 1.75%.
